Volunteerind at the SPCA Laurentides - Labelle

Do you have a little time on your hands?  Do you want to make your love of animals more concrete?  Then the SPCA Laurentides - Labelle would like to welcome you in its team of volunteers.

At the SPCA Laurentides - Labelle, volunteering is done in a friendly and cooperative atmosphere. Team spirit, as well as respect for other team members' work, are important values.

We are looking for volunteers in the following tasks:

Brushing cats, playing with them and trimming their claws

Cleaning up dog and cat cages and the cat rooms (in the morning)

Washing blankets and helping with weekly cleaning chores

Doing various painting and small repairs work

Counselling the public in matters of adoption

Contributing to fundraising campaigns

Lending a helping hand with adoption clinics outside the shelter

Doing data entry on the computer

And helping out with other tasks that are very useful to the operations of the shelter.

Volunteer posts

Welcome to the SPCA Laurentides - Labelle and thank you for offering us your time. Your help is important to our animals. We greatly appreciate it as your volunteering permits us to give them more time, more love and more reassurance during their stay at our adoption center, without increasing our workforce budget.

In all of these tasks, you will be supporting the employees whose responsibility it is to ensure the work is done correctly and in a timely fashion. Your help is essential to the team. It must be done with respect and in good humour.

Below you will find a list of tasks where help is required and would be appreciated. Welcome to all, whether you are students, unemployed, employed, semi-retired or retired.

As a volunteer, you will receive the necessary training for the chosen job. You will also have to sign a Volunteers' Agreement and commit to a fixed bloc of time per week.

If you are interested in filling one of these volunteer posts, please contact Paul Chevalier by telephone at 819 326-4059 or by email at info@spcall.ca,(C/O: Line Charette) specifying in the subject that your request concerns volunteering.
