Star of the week

Rex

Bonding is my specialty. I am a loyal dog looking for a stable home in order to explore a mutually satisfactory relationship.

I need experienced owners who will show leadership by being assertive as well as calm. Someone who will be able to impose his will respectfully and not only by constraint.

I would love nothing more than to accompany you for long walks and then come home, fetch your slippers and sleep away the evening at your feet. I would like to be your loyal companion for life.

Do you have a little space for me in your home and in your heart?

ADOPTION FEES

Adoption fees are not related to the price of the animal, but to the care that was provided to him/her at the shelter. After they arrive, cats and dogs undergo a vet examination and are vaccinated. During their stay with us, they are provided with everything they need, including medical care. Since the SPCA Laurentides — Labelle is a no-kill shelter, some animals spend weeks or even months with us. Our team gives the same attention to all animals, whether they came to us yesterday or a year ago. Adoption fees also include:

The first set of vaccinations,

Deworming treatment,

And spaying or neutering during their stay or when they leave the shelter

Adoption fees are $125 for a cat and $280 for a dog.

REAL SAVINGS

By adopting an animal at the SPCA Laurentides — Labelle, you benefit from real savings. Vet costs for an adult female cat that you would choose from a pet shop or another shelter would amount to approximately:

Vet exam: $40

Deworming treatment: $10

First set of vaccinations: $20

Spaying: $100

Adopting at the SPCA Laurentides — Labelle allows you to save. Think about it!

YOUR DONATION COUNTS!

The SPCA Laurentides — Labelle does not receive any government subsidy. Public donations are our main source of revenue. Your donation is important because our shelter is one of the few that does not perform euthanasia, which means that we shelter and care for the animals as long as they need it, except in rare cases of fatal or severe illnesses, or if an animal’s dangerous behaviour cannot be corrected by our team. Our veterinary fees amount to several thousand dollars each year. Give generously!
